As a registered Commonwealth provider of education to overseas students, Caloundra Christian College is regularly selected by international parents for its Christian ethos, community spirit and excellent academic outcomes. These students come to the Sunshine Coast to attend the College’s highly-developed English language learning programs.
“Caloundra Christian College’s Japan connections started on a high note in 2013 with a visit from thirty eight students from Urawa Junior High School, Saitama (Tokyo). Local students, host families and staff embraced the opportunity to engage with the visitors with great vigour, following on from our own students’ trek through Japan in 2012,” said Mr Mark Spencer, International Program Manager at the College. “Through first term we will play host to approximately eighty international visitors, with twice that number expected throughout the year. Partner schools visiting in March are Sakuragaoka High and Seikei University Elementary School. Our broader program numbers will again top 400 international student visitors, placed in various programs in SEQ schools.”
The College looks forward to expanding their partnerships with international schools and colleges over the coming year and attracting both short-term and long-term visitors to the Sunshine Coast.
